Gear accuracy grade, you must be clear about these locations!
There are 13 accuracy levels of gears, which are numbered 012 from low to high, with level 0 being the highest and level 12 being the lowest. Gear accuracy is defined as a grade divided by the total inaccuracy of the gear form, which includes essential aspects like tooth shape, tooth orientation, and radial runout.
1. Tooth form: relates to the teeth's radial shape.
2. Tooth direction: relates to the teeth's longitudinal form.
3. Radial jump: the difference in distance between two neighboring teeth.
Gear accuracy is primarily used to control the accuracy of gear transmission between gears during operation, such as the smoothness of transmission, the fluctuation of instantaneous speed, whether there is alternating reverse operation, whether the backlash of the tooth reaches the minimum, and if there is an impact load, the accuracy should be slightly improved to reduce the damage to the gear caused by the shock load.
The purpose of the transmission, operating circumstances, transmission power, peripheral speed, performance indicators, and other technical criteria should all be considered while selecting gear accuracy grades.
The following are the suggested accuracy grades for various mechanical transmission gears, which are merely for reference purposes. You may consult the same manufacturer for free on particular product choices.
The processing technology used by gear products of various precision grades differs:
1. Accuracy class DIN6: quenching and tempering / tooth surface induction hardening / tooth surface grinding / four-sided grinding
2. Accuracy class DIN7: quenching and tempering / fine milling of tooth surface / four-sided grinding
3. Accuracy class DIN8: quenching and tempering / fine milling of tooth surface / fine milling of four sides
4. Accuracy class DIN9: quenching and tempering / tooth surface high frequency quenching / tooth surface fine milling / four-side grinding
5. Accuracy class DIN10: quenching and tempering / tooth surface high-frequency quenching / tooth surface finishing / four-side finishing
