The outer diameter of the squeeze rod is determined according to the inner diameter of the squeeze barrel. The outer diameter of the extrusion bar of the horizontal aluminium extrusion is generally proportional. The inner diameter of the cylinder is 4 to 10 mm. When the extrusion rod is operated at a high temperature, the end of the extrusion rod may be plastically deformed and be upset. Therefore, the diameter of the end of the solid extrusion rod should be made smaller, and the inner diameter of the end of the hollow extrusion rod should be larger, so as not to be replaced when the large perforation needle is replaced after deformation. In order to avoid stress concentration, the transition portion of the root of the squeeze rod should be tapered and have a large rounded corner with a radius of R ≥ 100 mm. If the arc is too small or the root is not well matched with the diameter of the shaft, the squeeze rod will break.

1. The two end faces of the extrusion rod must have a parallelism of not more than 0.05mm, the two end faces must be perpendicular to the axis, and the non-perpendicularity is not more than 0.05mm; the surface of the two ends is smooth, especially the end plane requires polishing, reaching Ra1 .6μm or more;

2. The side surface and end plane of the extrusion rod should not have any defects;

3. There is no axial bending, and there is no external force outside the axial direction when squeezing;

4. Strictly align the extrusion rod with the center of the extrusion cylinder to ensure the levelness and coaxiality. The two should maintain a uniform gap to prevent bumps during the extrusion process.

5. The extrusion rod is strictly prohibited from sticking to metal. If the sticky metal is found, it should be removed in time. For easy removal, a little lubricant can be applied to the rod.

6. The extrusion rod should not be placed in the heated extrusion tube for a long time to prevent the temperature rise of the shaft from increasing and reducing its strength of use;

7. The extrusion rod for the hollow extrusion rod and the fixed gasket should ensure the roughness of the inner hole and the concentricity with the extrusion needle and the guide rod, and ensure that the extrusion needle and the guide rod can move freely in the shaft hole;

8. It should be repaired in time when the working end surface (inside and outer surface) of the extrusion rod is crushed and deformed;

9. The compression sleeve fastening device at the root of the extrusion rod should be flexible and adjustable, durable and regularly inspected and adjusted to ensure the concentricity and levelness of the extrusion rod;

10. Special tools must be used for loading and unloading and replacing the squeeze bar to prevent bumps and cause safety accidents.

11. The extrusion rod must be regularly tested, such as hardness, test size and level, alignment centerability, etc., and problems should be dealt with in a timely manner.
