Slewing bearings are divided into two types of critical diameter, critical diameter of irreversible temper brittleness, critical diameter of reversible temper brittleness, and the tempering temperature of the two types of critical diameter is not the same.
1. Irreversible temper brittleness critical diameter
The slewing ring tempering mainly occurs when the tempering temperature is 250-400°C. After a temper brittleness is completed, the tempering in this section is repeated until the specified tempering requirements are achieved.
2, reversible temper brittleness
The temperature of the slewing bearing is 400-650°C. When the slewing bearing is tempered, it rapidly cools. It cannot stay in the range of 400-650°C for a long time or slow cooling. Otherwise, the catalytic phenomenon will occur again.
The degree of brittleness of the slewing ring is related to the metal element. If the metal element is high in manganese, chromium, silicon, nickel and brittle, how high the content of molybdenum, tungsten is, and the brittleness is low, so when the slewing ring is tempered, suitable metal should be selected. Material to ensure that the slewing ring meets the required brittleness.
