In order to reduce stress concentration, the transitional fillet at the shoulder on the shaft and the transition to the larger shaft diameter at the spline should be treated as necessary, such as polishing, to increase the fatigue strength of the shaft. The parts mounted on the shaft should be fixed axially. The working load should be carried by the thrust shaft shoulder on the shaft as far as possible. In the opposite direction, nuts or other fasteners can be used. To prevent loosening of the threads, stop washers, double nut washers, locking screws, or series wires can be used. Sometimes, in order to save space and simplify the structure, it is also possible to use a snap ring instead of a nut and a snap washer, but it cannot be used in places where the axial load is excessive. When the rotation speed of the shaft is close to the limit rotation speed, the bearing capacity and life of the bearing will drop sharply and the noise and vibration during high-speed operation will be relatively large. Deformation of the shaft and bearing when the sprocket and the bevel gear are driven will cause the skew of the gear and bevel gear and the axis of the inner and outer rings of the bearing, so that the uneven load distribution on the gear teeth will reduce the carrying capacity of the transmission parts. The tooth breakage often occurs due to uneven load, and in many cases is due to the quality of the bearing and other factors such as severe overload. When selecting a bearing, not only depends on the nature of the load, but also on the structural requirements of the part.

The shaft is made of carbon and alloys. For example, 40, 45, 50, 40Cr, 50Cr, 42CrMoA, etc., the commonly used heat treatment method for conditioning, and in important parts for quenching. At the interference fit, in order to reduce the stress concentration at the edge of the hub, the shaft diameter at the nip should be 5% greater than the shaft diameter of the adjacent part, or a relief groove should be made in the hub. The sprocket is processed into a convex shape with a convex material during processing. The part of the ring gear can be processed after cutting the outer diameter of the plate and the shaft hole, and the part with the hole to be connected to the flange is welded again. When welding, do not weld only one of the sides, and both sides must be welded. The large wheel chain and the small sprocket are made of high-quality carbon structural steel for stamping and adopt advanced milling processing technology to make the tooth shape more accurate.
