Our company's ball mill girth gears are produced using a segmented casting process. First, the casting of each segment is completed, along with the sand removal and flaw detection of the blank. Then, the mating surfaces of each segment are milled, and locating pin holes are drilled. The segmented gear rings are then assembled and fastened into a whole using locating components. The outer diameter, inner diameter, and end face are then machined by clamping and assembling. After overall stress relief heat treatment to eliminate machining stress, rough milling or gear hobbing is performed, with reasonable finishing allowances reserved. Depending on the working conditions, surface hardening, carburizing, or nitriding surface strengthening treatments are selected to improve the hardness and wear resistance of the tooth surface. After heat treatment, deformation is corrected, and then the teeth are finished. Finally, the tooth surface and reference surface are ground, with strict control over the accuracy indicators such as tooth profile, tooth direction, and runout. After comprehensive inspection and approval, the gear rings are put into storage and delivered.
