Semi-finishing process: carry out semi-fine processing to further refine the dimensions of each part and prepare for subsequent key processes.

Mechanical properties: After quenching and tempering, it has high strength and hardness, tensile strength can reach more than 635MPa, yield strength is not less than 440MPa, and has a certain toughness, and can withstand a certain degree of impact load.

 

Corrosion resistance: Contains about 13% chromium, has good corrosion resistance in atmospheric environment and some weakly corrosive media, and can form a dense chromium oxide protective film on the surface to prevent further corrosion. However, in some highly corrosive media such as strong acids and strong alkalis, the corrosion resistance is relatively limited.

 

Machinability: It has good machinability and can be made into parts of various shapes through forging, rolling, cutting and other processing methods. However, due to its high hardness, it is necessary to select appropriate tools and processing parameters during the processing to avoid excessive wear of the tools.

 

Heat resistance: It has good heat resistance within a certain temperature range and can be used for a long time in an environment below 400℃, and the short-term use temperature can reach about 500℃.

 

Applications: It is often used to manufacture some mechanical parts that require high strength and hardness, such as shafts, gears, bolts, etc. Its good mechanical properties can ensure that these parts can withstand large loads without deformation or damage during long-term operation.
