The wheel and shaft choose material AISI4140, which is the common used material and has good performance. They were processed seperately , and when finished the production , they were assembled together. The assembly of the crane axle is a key link to ensure its operation. Before assembly, the axle, wheel, bearing and other parts must be strictly checked for defects, and all parts must be cleaned and lubricated. During assembly, the bearing can be installed on the axle by hot or cold installation, and then the axle and wheel are aligned according to the keyway, connected with a key, and tightened with the specified torque. After assembly, the appearance and rotation flexibility must be checked. Finally, after the overall installation of the crane is completed, no-load and loaded test runs are carried out to ensure that the axle assembly is correct.
