Products Description

Installing bearings: Bearings are usually installed on axles by hot or cold installation. When hot installation, the bearing is heated to a certain temperature (generally not more than 120℃) to expand its inner hole, and then quickly inserted into the axle journal. After cooling, the bearing will fit tightly on the axle. Cold installation uses special press-fitting equipment to press the bearing evenly onto the axle. During the press-fitting process, attention should be paid to keeping the bearing vertical and stable to avoid tilting or damage to the bearing.

Installing wheels: Place the axle assembly with the bearing installed into the wheel hub hole, align the keyway of the axle with the keyway on the wheel hub, and then insert the key into the keyway to ensure that the key and keyway fit tightly. Next, use bolts or other fastening devices to fix the wheel on the axle. When tightening the bolts, follow the specified torque requirements to ensure that the wheel is firmly installed.

Adjust the clearance: After assembly, the clearance between the wheel and the track needs to be adjusted. Generally speaking, a certain gap should be maintained between the wheel tread and the top surface of the track to ensure that the wheels can rotate freely during the operation of the crane, while avoiding the gap between the wheel and the track being too large, which may lead to unstable operation or rail gnawing. The size of the gap is usually determined according to factors such as the type of crane and working conditions.
