Spur gear transmission is generally used in light load and low speed applications.
The bevel gear transmission is used to transmit the motion and power between the two intersecting axes. Its teeth are cut along the plain line of the conical surface.
The gear teeth are evenly distributed on a cone. The tooth shape is large at one end and the other end is small. The big end parameter is a standard value. When working, it is equivalent to rolling with a friction wheel made of a pitch cone of two gears. The conical cone tops must be overlapped to ensure that the two cones have the same gear ratio, which increases the difficulty of manufacturing and installation, and reduces the accuracy and load carrying capacity of the bevel gear transmission.
