Self-aligning ball bearings have two types of structures, cylindrical bores and conical bores. The cages are made of steel plates and synthetic resins. It can compensate the misalignment and shaft deflection to adjust the error of the ball bearing, but the relative inclination of the inner and outer rings must not exceed 3 degrees.

Self-aligning ball bearings have cylindrical and conical holes. The conical bore has a taper of 1:1 or 1:30. In order to enhance the lubrication performance of the bearing, an annular oil groove and three oil holes are machined on the outer ring of the bearing.
