Under high-speed conditions, the rotary joints were prone to leakage, and the seal failure rate was higher than the original design. In severe cases, cutting fluid seepage damaged the spindle bearings. For gantry milling machines with accessory milling heads, achieving center-outlet water from the milling head was extremely difficult in later modifications; most could only achieve water outlet from the spindle body.
