Adjusting the Up and Down Movement of the Rotary Kiln Body by Using the Roller Skew Method

In order to ensure that the rotary kiln shell oscillates up and down in accordance with a predetermined law, the rotary kiln configured as a signal block wheel (ie, with a hard stop wheel and no hard stop wheel) must adopt the method of skew adjustment of the idler wheel. However, it is extremely important to determine the skew direction of the supporting rollers, otherwise it will cause the cylinder to accelerate down and even cause serious accidents.
The commonly used methods for discriminating skewed wheel directions are: speed analysis method, experience discriminating method (face-to-wheel method), upright hand method, graphic method, etc. According to the experience of on-site debugging of rotary kiln for many years, Henan Zheng Mine Machinery Co., Ltd. recommends the use of a simple and easy upward hand discrimination method for on-site judgment and confirmation.
The method of judging by hand is: First, both hands clench, the thumb is straightened, and the palm of the hand is upward; then, the thumb is pointing in the direction of twisting of the cylinder, the direction of the four fingers is the same as the direction of rotation of the cylinder; then the four-finger joint vertex The connection line is the direction in which the axial centerline of the idler should be skewed.
Although the support wheel skew adjustment method is very effective for the up and down motion control of the rotary kiln shell, the operation is extremely simple; however, if the adjustment is wrong, it will lead to uneven force of each block, accelerate the wear of components, and even cause serious damage. ACCIDENT. Therefore, when using the wheel tilt adjustment method, the following operation precautions must be taken care of:
1. When adjusting the supporting wheel, firstly make the supporting wheel to be adjusted parallel to the center line of the barrel, and then adjust; at the same time, in order to ensure the correct meshing of the gear transmission, try not to adjust the supporting wheel device close to the gear transmission.
2. For the new kiln, it should be started from the support near the end of the kiln, so that the center line of each wheel supporting the kiln head and the center line of the cylinder should be kept relatively parallel.
3. When using the upper hand discriminating method, pay attention to the selection of right and left hands, and then determine the direction of tilting of the supporting wheel according to the direction of rotation of the cylinder and the direction of the need to move, as shown in the following figure. If an error occurs in the direction of misalignment, it will intensify incitement and lead to accidents.
4. When the support wheel is adjusted, it should be carried out under the condition that the rotary kiln is running; otherwise, it is easy to cause damage to the mechanical parts or tools.
5. After adjusting the support wheel, it can be adjusted by “withdrawing” or “top” the top wire of the tug bearing, but it must be noted that the amount of one adjustment can not be too large, generally not exceeding 1~2mm, and not only in a pair of brackets. After the rounds are adjusted upwards, if you do not see the effect after adjusting one pair, you can adjust it on the other pair of high-rising rollers.
6. It is forbidden to tune the center line of the same pair of rollers to the shape of "eight", and it is even more forbidden to adjust the two rollers to a large "eight" shape. Otherwise, the surface of the rollers and belts will be worn more.
7. When adjusting the supporting wheel, the skew angle of the axial centerline of the supporting roller should not be too large. According to the experience of debugging, Henan Zhengyuan Machinery Co., Ltd. suggested that the value should be controlled within 15′.
