7. Spur bevel gear pair
Straight bevel gears are often used for low-speed and small-load transmissions. When processing with a pair of planers, the peripheral speed V≤5m/s; when processing with the profiling method, the peripheral speed V≤2m/s. In order to reduce the eccentric load caused by assembly and manufacturing errors, drum-shaped teeth can be made. The axial force is small, the direction is fixed (it has nothing to do with the direction of gear rotation), and the maximum transmission power can reach 1000kW.
8. Helical bevel gear pair
Helical bevel gears are often used in transmissions with a peripheral speed of V>5m/s. They have relatively large carrying capacity and strong axial force, and their direction is related to the direction of gear rotation. But this kind of helical bevel gears is gradually decreasing, and it is being replaced by curved bevel gears.
