There are two main methods for the installation of crossed cylindrical roller bearings: hot mounting and cold mounting. If the bearing outer sleeve and the device are in an interference fit, then the cold fitting method is adopted; if the bearing inner sleeve and the shaft are in an interference fit, then the hot fitting method is adopted.    I. Precautions for installation of crossed cylindrical roller bearings

  

   1. Precautions before installation

  

   (1) Crossed cylindrical roller bearings must be installed under dry and clean environmental conditions. The processing quality of each component of the cylindrical roller bearing should be carefully checked before installation. All mating and connecting surfaces must be carefully cleaned and deburred, and the unprocessed surface of the casting must be cleaned of sand.

  

   (2) Clean with gasoline or kerosene before installation, and use it after drying, and ensure good lubrication of the crossed cylindrical roller bearings. Bearings are generally lubricated with grease, but can also be lubricated with oil.

  

   (3) Perform dynamic and static balance before installing the cross cylindrical roller bearing. Because the cross cylindrical roller bearing is installed on the rotor for dynamic and static balance, it is easy for the iron filings to enter the bearing.

       II. matters needing attention during installation

  

   (1) For crossed cylindrical roller bearings, equal pressure must be applied to the circumference of the end face of the ring to press the ring in. It is not allowed to strike directly with a tool to avoid damage to the cylindrical roller bearing.

  

   (2) In the case of small interference, the end face of the crossed cylindrical roller bearing ring can be pressed with a sleeve at room temperature, and the sleeve can be beaten with the head, and the ring can be pressed in evenly through the sleeve. If cross cylindrical roller bearings are installed in large quantities, hydraulic presses can be used. When pressing, ensure that the end face of the outer ring and the end face of the housing shoulder, and the end face of the inner ring and the end face of the shaft shoulder are pressed tightly, and no gap is allowed.

  

  (3) When the interference is large, the cylindrical roller bearing can be installed by oil bath heating or induction heating method. The heating temperature range is 80℃-100℃, but cannot exceed 120℃. At the same time, use nuts or other appropriate methods to tighten the bearing to prevent the cross cylindrical roller bearing from shrinking in the width direction after cooling and causing a gap between the ring and the shaft shoulder.

  

   III. Precautions after installation

  

The cross cylindrical roller bearing should be subjected to a rotation test after installation. First, it is used for the rotating shaft or the bearing box. If there is no abnormality, it will run with no load and low speed with the power, and then gradually increase the rotation speed and load according to the running situation, and detect the noise, If abnormal vibration and temperature rise are found, stop the operation and check. It can be delivered to use only after the operation test is normal.

  

   2. Points for Checking the Installation of Crossed Cylindrical Roller Bearings

  

   1. Check whether the matching requirements of the cross cylindrical roller bearing are the same as the load and speed requirements.

  

  2. Measure whether the fit of the crossed cylindrical roller bearing exceeds the standard.

  

   3. Determine the heating method based on measurement calculations. Ensure the oil gap of the cross cylindrical roller bearing. The temperature should not exceed 300-400℃. Pay attention to the wind. It is not suitable for heating with open flame.

  

  4. Adjust the axial clearance of the cross cylindrical roller bearing, and padded the outer ring.

  

   5. Use a feeler gauge to measure the oil gap of the crossed cylindrical roller bearing, and adjust the oil gap of the extra-large crossed cylindrical roller bearing under the actual load (eccentric load) as much as possible. The influence of the site temperature on the cylindrical roller bearing should be considered.

  

  6. Check whether the rotating part of the cross cylindrical roller bearing interferes with the fixed part.
