Rotary kiln support rollers are the core support components of a rotary kiln, consisting of roller bodies, shaft systems, bearing seats, and lubrication and sealing devices. As a key component of the heavy machinery load-bearing system, they bear the heavy load of the kiln body and materials through contact friction with the kiln shell. They can also correct the kiln's running trajectory by adjusting the installation angle and spacing, reducing shell sway vibration and ensuring smooth and continuous kiln rotation. This component is widely used in heavy industries such as building materials, metallurgy, and chemicals. It is an indispensable basic component in large rotary kiln equipment such as cement clinker calcining kilns, metallurgical mineral roasting kilns, and chemical kaolin calcining kilns, directly affecting the operational stability and service life of the rotary kiln.

Machinery Processing

The preparation of the support roller blank is the first step. The roller body is formed using a casting process to ensure uniform internal structure; shaft parts are forged to improve material density and enhance load-bearing capacity. After completion, the castings and forgings undergo visual and internal defect inspection.
Next, the turning stage begins. According to the drawings, key parts such as the inner and outer circles and end faces of the roller body and shaft are precision-machined to ensure that the dimensional accuracy and surface roughness of each mating surface meet the standards, laying the foundation for subsequent assembly.
After turning, a heat treatment process is performed. Through controlled heating, heat preservation, and cooling, the idler roller achieves a good balance of strength and toughness, meeting the mechanical requirements of long-term rotary kiln operation.
Finally, heated assembly is carried out. The roller body is uniformly heated to induce thermal expansion, and then the shaft is quickly inserted into the roller body's assembly holes. After natural cooling, a tight fit is achieved, completing the core assembly process before the idler roller is delivered.
Work Principles
The work principle of support rollers is typically evenly arranged along the circumference of the kiln body, with the kiln cylinder resting directly on the roller surfaces. The rollers are connected to the base via bearings, forming a freely rotatable support structure.
