The end cap is one of the main components in the ball mill equipment. It is located at both ends of the cylinder and is mainly used to support the material, the cylinder and the medium. It is prone to wear and tear due to stress mutations during a long period of operation. Problems with end caps
Because the inlet and outlet pipes and the hollow shaft are close to the cylinder surface of the cylinder end, the gap is too small to be folded. The gap is too large and easy to make the slurry enter the gap between the hollow shaft and the inlet and outlet pipes. The slurry entering the gap continuously wears the inner wall of the hollow shaft as the mill rotates, and the end cap with the hollow shaft is prematurely scrapped.
Solution
1. After the assembly, stainless steel welding rods are used to weld the end cap and the inlet (or row) material pipe along the fitting gap near the end of the cylinder body, which can effectively solve the above problems.
2. The use of a new type of annealing furnace improves the impact of vibration, impact, and alternating stress during ball mill operation to prevent cracking of the weld.
How to control heat treatment deformation
When the end cap is heat-treated, necessary auxiliary support is performed on the suspended portion of the workpiece so that the workpiece is subjected to uniform stress in the heat treatment process, and the heat treatment deformation caused by unstable mounting can be effectively controlled.
